The fact is that most medical insurances cover the cost of diagnostic audiology services such as hearing evaluations, tests of vestibular function (dizziness) and tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Most physicians are more than willing to provide a referral when needed.
Getting your hearing evaluated allows the audiologist to identify if a hearing loss exists and the cause. Counseling is critical once we have these results. In some cases, the hearing impairment or balance disorder can be treated medically.
Some medical insurances even cover a portion of the expense for hearing aids. The staff at Hearing Specialty Group will be happy to verify and submit for any benefits you may have.
